The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan has published a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On the regulation of the procedure for transferring secondary schools with a low occupancy rate on the basis of trust to the private sector" for discussion.
The draft document proposes to transfer public schools with a low occupancy rate to the private sector on the basis of trust management.
The document notes that the transfer of secondary schools with a low occupancy rate to the private sector will develop competitiveness among schools, improve the quality of education, and improve school performance indicators.
General education schools with a low occupancy rate - schools where the student occupancy rate is less than 0.7 in relation to the school capacity.
The document says that students at the time of transfer to trust management and schools living in the microdistrict will study free of charge in schools transferred to the private sector on the basis of trust management.
