In particular, the country completed works on reconstruction and reconstruction of 731.9 km of collectors, 57.6 km of subsurface drainage network, a reclamation pump station, and 42 drainage wells.
Uzbekistan carried out repair work on the 10,400 km of inter-farm and on-farm drainage systems and 468 drainage wells.
In nine months of 2013, the country created 4,900 hectares of new gardens, 3,300 hectares of intensive gardens, 4,800 hectares of grapes. Uzbekistan reconstructed 5,700 hectares of gardens and 3,800 hectares of vineyards. Some 22,700 greenhouses were constructed at 384 hectaresof land.
In nine months of 2013, Uzbekistan produced 7.1 million tonnes of grain (+1.5% y-o-y), over 6 million tonnes of vegetables (+11.3%), 1.5 million tonnes of fruits (+10.8%), 1.7 million tonnes of potatoes (+10.6%), 1.1 million tonnes of melons (+9.3%) and about 1 million tonnes of grapes (+11.9%).
About 1.4 million tonnes of fruits and vegetables (+23% y-o-y) were processed, of which 890,600 tonnes were vegetables, 283,300 tonnes of fruits and 212,000 tonnes of grapes.
The commercial banks issued 170.2 billion soums to development of cattle breeding, 58.5 billion soums – creation of poultry farms, 22 billion soums – to developing fishing and beekeeping. The loans helped to create 1,300 cattle farms with 55,400 heads of cattle, 639 poultry farms with 5.6 million birds, 634 fishing farms at 3,400 hectares of artificial water reservoirs and 1,400 beekeeping farms.
In the result, the number of cattle rose by 4.8% to 10.4 million heads and production of meat – by 7%, milk – 7.1% and eggs – 14.3%.
