Uzbekistan produces localized goods for 2.1 trln. soums in 1Q

Enterprises of Uzbekistan produced goods for 2.1 trillion soums within the localization programme in the first quarter of 2013, a publication of the Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The state bodies started that the growth rate made up 1.4 times year-on-year.
Uzbekistan launched production of 40 new localized goods, including cantilever pumps, synthetic threads, air, oil and fuel filters, toys, safe glass for vehicles, etc.
In the result, estimated impost-replacement effect made up US$1 billion, which grew by 20.5% year-on-year.
The export of localized goods made up US$161.7 million, including 14 new products for US$1.5 million.
