Uzbekistan produces industrial goods for 55.5 trillion soums in Jan-Feb

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-February 2020, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 55.5 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period of 2019 made up 4.7%.

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (77.5%), the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.

The main factor in the growth of the physical volume of industrial production was an increase in manufacturing industry by 6.1%, mining and quarrying - by 1.3%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 1.1%, while there was a decrease in volumes production at the enterprises of water supply, sewage, waste collection and disposal - by 4.9%.

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-February 2020 made up 7.3 trillion soums, or 13.1% of the total industry.

Manufacturing enterprises in January-February 2020 produced products worth 43.0 trillion soums, or 77.5% of the total industry.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries was 1.5% (1.4% in January-February 2019), medium-high-tech - 24.7% (26.3%), medium-low-tech - 39.6% (36, 4%) and low-tech - 34.2% (35.9%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing, repairing, assembling of machinery and equipment, manufacturing cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products made up 21.2% (the physical volume index reached 116.2% of January- February 2019), and the metallurgical industry - 23.9% (103.0%), enterprises producing textile, clothing and leather products - 17.3% (109.1%), producing food, beverages and tobacco - 14.0% (99.9%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.8% (103.0%).

In January-February 2020, 190.3 thousand tons of motor gasoline were produced in the republic (an increase of 25.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), 195.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel (15.4%), 44.4 thousand tons of cotton yarn (20.0%), 261.5 thousand tons of soft and spelled wheat flour (6.6%) and 17.3 million liters of beer (24.7%).

In January- February 2020, 136 buses were produced in the republic. (decrease in production by 29.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2019). The largest production volume was recorded in February 2020, amounting to 85 pcs.

In January-February 2020, 42.1 thousand units of automobile engines were produced in the republic (an increase of 29.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2019).

In February 2020, the largest volume of production of this product was recorded, amounting to 22.3 thousand units.\

In January-February 2020, 636 trucks were produced in the Republic (volume of production decreased by 18.7% of the corresponding period of 2019).

The largest volume of production of this product was recorded in February 2020, amounting to 364 pcs.

Compared to the same period of 2019, the manufacturing industry increased the production of passenger cars - by 1.3 times, automobile engines - by 1.3 times, automobile gasoline - by 1.3 times, running wheels, their parts and accessories - by 1.4 times, radiators, silencers and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, crankcases of steering mechanisms and their parts - by 2.0 times

In the automotive industry, in January 2020, 13 570 cars of Nexia model were produced (growth rates compared to the same period of 2019 were 136.9%), 11 379 - Cobalt (132.3%), 9 442 - Gentra (143.3%), 8 485 - Damas (126.6%), 5 323 - Spark (172.3%) and 815 - Labo (62.2%).

In January-February 2020, 143 tractors were produced in the republic (production growth increased by 2.1 times of January-February 2019). The largest volume of tractor production was recorded in February 2020, amounting to 118 pcs.

In January-February 2020, 152 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (the increase in production was recorded at 1.5 times of the corresponding period of 2019). In January 2020, the largest volume of production of this product was recorded, amounting to 121 pcs.

The overhaul of technological equipment allowed to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the previous year’s production indicators for ammonium sulfate (16.7% compared to January- February 2019), potassium chloride (8.0%), methyl alcohol (1.6 times ), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (5.1%) and caustic soda (2.8%).

The volume of products produced by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises made up 4.9 trillion soums (8.8% of the total industry).

The physical volume index of the industry, compared with the corresponding period in 2019, increased by 1.1%.

The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewage, waste collection and disposal made up 0.4 trillion soums (0.6% of the total industry).

Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, there was an increase in the production of textile waste by 13.8% and services for the collection of non-hazardous waste by 45.0%. At the same time, there was a decrease in the volume of services for waste water disposal, transportation and treatment - by 7.2%, and services for emptying, cleaning and processing of latrines, sumps and septic tanks - by 1.9%.

As a result of measures taken to expand the assortment and stimulate the production of finished goods, the production of consumer goods made up 15.5 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 6.6%, the share in the total industry made up 28.0%.

In comparison with the same period of 2019, the structure of consumer goods production in January-February 2020 showed an increase in the share of non-food products from 66.5% to 67.8%.

In the structure of food production, the share of wine-vodka products and beer made up 2.5% (2.3% in January-February 2019).
In the structure of production of consumer goods in the republic, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (26.9% of the total consumer goods), Tashkent city (18.7%), Tashkent (9.9%), Samarkand (8.3%) and Fergana (5.8%) regions.

The largest growth in consumer goods production was recorded in Khorezm (18.6% of the corresponding period in 2019), Andijan (13.3%), Bukhara (108.3%), Fergana (13.5%), Namangan (10.0%) Tashkent (9.5%) Navoi (107.1%) and Syrdarya (6.7%) regions, exceeding the national average (6.6%).

In the structure of food production of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (20.3% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (16.5%), Samarkand (10.5%), Kashkadarya (6.9%) and Fergana (7.2%) regions.

At the same time, the largest growth in food production was recorded in Fergana (22.4% of January-February 2019), Syrdarya (9.1%), Tashkent (16.8%), Namangan (13.7%), Khorezm regions (10, 4%) and Tashkent city (11.5%).

In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on Andijan region (36.6% of the total non-food products), Tashkent city (17.9%), Samarkand (7.3%), Tashkent (6.8%) and Khorezm (6.3%) regions.

The largest growth in the production of non-food products was recorded in Khorezm (21.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), Navoi (16.5%), Bukhara (12.9%) and Andijan regions (14.3%).

During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investment produced products of 14.6 trillion soums, the share of which in the total volume of production made up 26.3%.

In the structure of industrial production of the republic, the largest share falls on the enterprises of Tashkent city (18.8% of the republican volume of industry), Tashkent (16.7%), Navoi (15.0%), Andijan (9.7%) and Fergana (6.0%) regions.

The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.3%) and Jizzakh (1.4%) regions.\

The consistent implementation of measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Andijan (12.2% of January-February 2019), Khorezm (11.5%) Bukhara (6.0%), Fergana (3.8% ) Namangan (19.4%), regions and the city of Tashkent (9.0%).

At the same time, there has been a significant increase in consumer goods production in Khorezm (18.6% of January- February 2019), Fergana (13.5%), Bukhara (8.3%), Andijan (13.3%), Syrdarya (6.7%), Navoi (7.1%) regions and the city of Tashkent (9.5%).

An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (1 636.2 thousand soums) in Navoi region (8 345.0 thousand soums), Tashkent city (4 045.6 thousand soums), Tashkent (3 143.7 thousand soums) region.

Production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the Republic made up 457.7 thousand soums, including in Tashkent city - 1 125.9 thousand soums, Andijan region - 1 334.7 thousand soums, Tashkent region - 521.5 thousand soums, Navoi region - 470.3 thousand soums.

During the reporting period, small businesses produced products worth 17.3 trillion soums, the share of which in the total volume of production was 31.2%.

By regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Namangan region (63.1% of the total industry of the region), Tashkent city (57.6%), Jizzakh (59.1%), Samarkand (54.2%), Surkhandarya (49.1%), Kashkadarya (35.9%) and Fergana (39.0%) regions.

At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (9.7%), Andijan (18.8%) and Tashkent (25.3%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (18.2%). Analysis of the structure of industrial production by regions of the republic showed that the low share of production of small businesses in the total industry is explained by the significant production volume of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.

Today, 72.6 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 15.1 thousand (20.9% of the total number of functioning enterprises) are in Tashkent, 7.8 thousand (10.7%) - Fergana, 7.8 thousand (10.7%) - Tashkent, 6.7 thousand (9.3%) - Andijan, 6.2 thousand (8.5%) - Samarkand and 5.6thousand (7.7%) - Namangan region.

In January-February 2020, 2 913 industrial enterprises were newly established in the republic, of which 393 (13.5% of the total number of newly created) are located in Tashkent city, 291 (10.0%) - in Tashkent, 302 (10.4%) - in Andijan, 317 (10.9%) - in Khorezm, 288 (9.9%) - in Samarkand and 225 (7.7%) - in Fergana regions.

Today, the largest number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the cities of Andijan (2 564 units), Namangan (2 380 units), Samarkand (1 511 units), Kokand (1 365 units), as well as in the following districts of the city of Tashkent, Almazar (2 048 units), Chilanzar (1 926 units), Uchtepa (1 856 units), Yunusabad (1 679 units), Shaikhantakhur (1 382 units) Sergeli (1 291 units).

As of March 1, 2020, the minimum number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the city of Shirin (45 units) in the Syrdarya region; Ulugnor district (63 units) of Andijan region; Tamdy district (63 units) of Navoi region; Arnasay (56 units) and Yangiobod (44 units) districts of Jizzakh region; Kegeyly (56 units), Kanlykul (53 units), Takhtakupyr (46 units) and Bozatau (9 units) districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Bandikhon district (1 unit) of the Surkhandarya region.
