Uzbekistan produces construction materials for 2.9 trln. soums

Share of the industry made up 6.6% in total volume of industrial output of Uzbekistan, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In the reporting period, the large industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan increased production of such products as aluminum composite panels (5.5 times), soft roofing materials and insulation (4 times), assembly foam (2.3 times), sandwich panels (1.6 times), dry building mixtures (1.5), ceramic tiles for interior wall cladding (1.4 times), tiles (10.3%), precast concrete structures (3.8%) and cement (2.4%).

At the same time, production of crushed stone (1.9 times), gravel (1.7 times), ready-mixed concrete (1.5 times), gypsum (1.4 times), asphalt (23.9%) and limestone (22.5%) also rose.

The industry exported products for US$74.7 million in nine months of 2013, which grew by 3.6% year-on-year. Export of prefabricated concrete and reinforced concrete structures and products rose by 32.3% to US$38.4 million in the reporting period.
