Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan in January - June 2021, large industrial enterprises produced 5.81 million tons of Portland cement, the State Statistics Committee said. Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the growth rate was 23.0%.

Cement production will start in 2021:

- in January 559.3 thousand tons (an increase of 7.3 percent);

- in January-February 1 325.4 thousand tons (+18.4 percent);

-in January-March 2,228.4 thousand tons (+14.1%);

-in January-April 3 582.6 thousand tons (+26.9%);

- 4,679.2 thousand tons (+24.2%) were collected in January-May.

The largest share in the total volume of products produced by large enterprises for the production of cement in the republic fell on the Tashkent region - 42.3%, Navoi region - 32.2%, Jizzakh region - 13.0% and Ferghana region - 8.5%
