Uzbekistan produces 46,603 automobiles in 1Q

Uzbekistan produced 46,603 automobiles in the first quarter of 2013, which grew by 18.3%. In particular, production of lorries grew 4.1 times, specialized vehicles – 28% and automobiles – by 12.1%.

At the same time, Uzbekistan increased production of automobile engines (430.8 times) and batteries (by 6.8%) in the reporting period.

Large enterprises of Uzbekistan increased production of grain harvesters (11.3 times), tractor trailers (5.6 times), tractors (11.7%) and harrows (1.6 times).

Uzbekistan increased production of electrotechnical goods like self-supporting insulated wire - 2.6 times, wires and cables, radio frequency - 2.4 times, household wires - by 97.1%, blocking signalling cables - by 86.3%, wire installation - by 24.5%, power cables - by 11.3%, and wire hose - by 11.2%.

The country also increased production of energy saving lamps by 78.4%, electric irons – 53.7%. Gradually, Uzbekistan expands production of washing machines, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, etc.
