Uzbekistan produces 251,342 cars in 2013

The share of the industry in total volume of industrial production of Uzbekistan made up 19.8%, which grew by 2.3 percentage points compared to 2012 (17.5%).

Last year, Uzbekistan produced 251,342 automobiles, which grew by 4.8% year-on-year. The production of trucks grew by 36.9% year-on-year and automobiles (without specialized cars) – 4.5%, as well as buses – 3.3%.

Uzbekistan increased production of automobile engines (by 4.4 times), car bodies (2.7 times), wheel disks for cars (34.4%), automobile trailers and semitrailers (17.4%.).

The production of agriculture equipment also rose in 2013 – balers - 3.0 times, harrows - 2.1 times, tractors - 63.7%, grain harvesters - 36.5%, cultivators - 23.1%, trailers – 9.3%.

Uzbekistan increased production of such types of electrical products as blocking signal cables - (49.8%), radio frequency wires and cables (38.4%), fixed telephony cable (27.2%), armored cables (19.1%), household wires (16.4%), and hose wire (5.3%).

The country also increased output of such consumer products as flat TV-sets – 3.6 times, energy saving lamps – 82.8%, washing machines – 31.9% and children bicycles – 20.9%.
