Uzbekistan produces 22,800 tons of cocoons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-September 2021, Uzbekistan produced 22,800 tons of cocoons. The growth in production compared to the same period in 2020 amounted to 8.8%, according to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The largest volume of cocoon production was recorded in farms - 14.0 thousand tons, or 61.6% of the total volume of their production.

In the current period, compared to the same period of last year, growth was noted in farms - by 3.5% and organizations engaged in agricultural activities - by 18.4%.
