Uzbekistan produced 399,327 passenger cars in 2024
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to December 2024, Uzbekistan produced 399,327 passenger cars, according to the Statistics Agency.
In comparison, 395,724 passenger cars were produced in the country in 2023.
Taking into account special passenger vehicles, the total number of cars produced amounted to 424,808 units in 2024.
According to the agency, the largest share of produced cars was for the Chevrolet Cobalt model. In 2024, UzAuto Motors manufactured 164,887 of these vehicles, which is a 39.5% increase compared to 2023.
Additionally, UzAuto Motors produced 101,912 Damas cars (up 14.3%), 45,918 Tracker cars (down 4.5%), 41,661 Onix cars (up 36.2%), and 12,837 Gentra cars (down 84.4%).
In 2024, Uzbekistan produced 6,301 Chery cars (down 35.9%), 19,328 KIA cars (up 28.5%), 2,473 Haval cars (up 18.5%), 6 Lada cars, and 4,004 BYD cars.
Moreover, the report indicates that 25,481 special-purpose passenger cars were manufactured, which is a 2.3% increase compared to the previous year.
