Uzbekistan Produced 1.9 Million Tons of Potatoes in First Half of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–June 2025, Uzbekistan produced 1.9 million tons of potatoes, according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee.
Compared with the same period last year, potato production increased by 3.4%.
The largest volumes were recorded in Samarkand region — 334.3 thousand tons, Surkhandarya — 247.5 thousand tons, Andijan — 232.7 thousand tons, and Fergana — 231.3 thousand tons. Bukhara produced 190.8 thousand tons, Namangan — 152.3 thousand tons, and Tashkent region — 150 thousand tons.
Other regions reported the following production: Kashkadarya — 118.9 thousand tons, Khorezm — 84.4 thousand tons, Navoi — 67.1 thousand tons, Republic of Karakalpakstan — 34.9 thousand tons, Syrdarya — 31.4 thousand tons, and Jizzakh — 13.7 thousand tons.
Overall, potato production in the country continues to show positive growth, reflecting the development of the agricultural sector and increased supply for the domestic market.
