Uzbekistan Potato Harvest Exceeds 4.1 Million Tons in 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s potato production surpassed 4.1 million tons in 2025, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistics Committee.
Official figures show that all categories of agricultural enterprises across the republic produced a total of 4,160,185 tons of potatoes during the reporting year. This represents a 0.2% increase compared to 2024, signaling steady growth in one of the country's most critical agricultural sectors.
The Samarkand region maintained its traditional position as the nation's leading producer, yielding 773,598 tons. Other significant contributions came from the Andijan region with 530,666 tons, the Fergana region with 480,007 tons, the Namangan region with 420,348 tons, and the Tashkent region with 415,368 tons.
The regional breakdown further highlights production in Surkhandarya (394,525 tons), Bukhara (305,960 tons), and Kashkadarya (230,125 tons). Output in the Navoi region reached 131,051 tons, while Jizzakh produced 126,577 tons.
The Republic of Karakalpakstan recorded 113,008 tons, followed by the Khorezm region with 163,175 tons and the Syrdarya region with 74,871 tons. In the capital city of Tashkent, production totaled 906 tons.
