Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to produce 4.1 million tonnes of potatoes in 2022. For the harvest of 2022, in all categories of farms, 243 thousand hectares of land were planted with potatoes, which is 86,000 hectares more than in 2021. 

In particular, on 153,000 hectares (70,000 hectares more) of lands of farms and agricultural enterprises, of which 115,500 hectares (65.000 hectares more) on the main areas, 7,300 hectares (4,400 ha more) in the aisles of orchards and vineyards, 30,000 ha in household plots, as well as 90,000 ha (10,000 ha more than in 2021) of dekhkan farms and household plots.

Of these areas, 4.1 million tons of crops are forecasted in 2022 (850. 000 tons more), of which 2.6 million tons will be grown by farms and 1.5 million tons on household plots.
