Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Uzbekistan plans to launch the production of two new car models. This is noted in the draft "road map" in the Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.

According to the "road map", Uzbekistan intends to increase the production of cars by 1.4 times. At the same time, it is planned to export cars by 2 times.

In particular, it is planned to produce 2 new models of passenger cars with an annual capacity of 190 thousand units.

The capacity of the Khorezm regional branch of UzAuto Motors will increase from 70 thousand to 100 thousand units.

Uzbekistan will develop a "road map" to increase exports to US$1 billion by 2026. Also, a "road map" will be developed to increase the level of localization of passenger cars up to 60%.

The production of cars using SCD technology will begin and it is planned to export up to 30 thousand Nexia vehicles per year.
