According to the representative of the plant, from 1 November the enterprise will end external management procedure and the bankruptcy procedure will be completed. From 1 January 2014, the plant will be renamed to Tashkent Mechanic Plant and will specialize in assembly and repair of airplanes.
The source said that the plant repaid its credits during external management and re-organized previous capacities on production of Il-76 aircrafts and the plant will focus on production of Il-114 airplanes.
He said that Russia is expressing interest in keeping production of Il-114 airplanes in Tashkent. The source said that it is difficult to promote this plane as there is competitors like An-140, but there are planes.
Bankruptcy procedures at the plant has been launched in September 2010 and it signed a settlement agreement with the creditors in October 2013.
Earlier, it is planned to liquidate production of the airplanes. In May 2013, the plant delivered last six Il-114 airplanes to Uzbekistan Havo Yollari within the contrac.
Currently, the premises, exempted from production of airplanes, were handed over to production of construction materials, home appliances, spare parts for automobile and agriculture equipment.
