Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to increase uranium production from 3,526 tons in 2021 to 7,100 tons by 2030.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution "On measures to increase the volume of production, processing of uranium and the transformation of the State Enterprise" Navoiyuran "in 2022-2030."
The document notes that Uzbekistan plans to double uranium production to 7.1 thousand tons in 2022-2030.
The President approved indicators for the growth rate of uranium reserves in 2022-2030 due to the intensification of exploration work - from 4,700 tons to 10.5 thousand tons.
The head of Uzbekistan also approved a list of 20 investment projects worth about US$460 million to increase uranium production.
