Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Uzbekistan plans to abolish the fees for registering a car with the traffic police, depending on the engine power and the year of manufacture of the vehicle. This was stated in the response of the Ministry of Finance to the request of the Deputy of the Legislative Chamber Doniyor Ganiev.

Now the size of the state duty can range from 2 basic estimated values (540,000 soums) to 10 basic estimated values (2.7 million soums).

When registering a car, a stamp duty is levied in the amount of 10% of the base estimated value (27,000 soums). For the implementation of additional legal and technical actions, another 40% of the base estimated value (108,000 soums) is charged.

Doniyor Ganiev noted that a draft law has been developed, a draft law on amendments to the law "On State Duty".

The document proposes to revise the size of the state fee established for the notarization of a car sale and purchase agreement, making them more acceptable to citizens.
