Uzbekistan Participates in Regional Emergency Management Forum in Dushanbe

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Major General Botir Kudrathodjaev, Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, took part in the latest regional forum of heads of emergency management agencies of Central Asian countries.

The high-level forum was held on 16–17 October 2025 in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Participants discussed mechanisms for information exchange, prevention of cross-border emergencies, coordination of response efforts, and strengthening cooperation amid growing climate and environmental risks.

During the forum, Major General Kudrathodjaev held bilateral talks with the head of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction for Europe and Central Asia, as well as with the leader of the Central Asia cluster delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The discussions focused on key areas of collaboration and addressed several pressing issues.

Additionally, during a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of Tajikistan, joint cooperation plans for 2026–2027 were signed.

The regional forum reaffirmed its importance as an effective platform for enhancing coordination in disaster prevention and response, contributing to the safety and sustainable development of Central Asian countries.
