Uzbekistan Opens Its First JW Marriott Hotel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 December 2025, JW Marriott, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio uniting more than 30 prestigious hotel brands, announced the opening of JW Marriott Tashkent — a new luxury property that sets a heightened standard for upscale hospitality in Uzbekistan.

The new 287-room hotel is located in Tashkent City, the capital’s modern business hub, within the country’s largest retail and entertainment complex — Tashkent City Mall.

JW Marriott Tashkent combines personalized service, refined design, and signature wellness-focused programs, creating a space for balanced rest and productive work.

Agnieszka Rog-Skrzyniarz, Vice President for Luxury Brands at Marriott International in Europe, noted that the launch aims to introduce Uzbekistan to the JW Marriott philosophy, where every detail is designed to restore harmony of mind, body, and spirit.

She emphasized the country’s strong tourism potential and the importance of its rapid economic development in attracting investment.

Rooms and Facilities

JW Marriott Tashkent offers 287 elegant rooms, including 42 suites, three of which are presidential suites. All rooms feature panoramic city views. The hotel’s interiors draw inspiration from elements of Uzbek architecture and cultural traditions, including motifs of the tea ceremony.

Dining Experiences

The hotel’s culinary offering includes five restaurants. Already open are:

ELYO Restaurant & Terrace, featuring Eastern Mediterranean cuisine

JW Market

ORO Pool Bar

The menus were developed by Executive Chef Carlos Martin Repetto, whose extensive international experience helped blend global culinary trends with local gastronomic traditions.

In 2026, JW Marriott Tashkent will unveil additional venues: a rooftop restaurant on the 28th floor, the NODO restaurant, and JW Garden — a green space featuring a traditional Uzbek tapchan for relaxation and tea ceremonies.

Spa and Fitness

La Vallée SPA features Tashkent’s first outdoor infinity pool overlooking Tashkent City Park, as well as an indoor pool, a modern fitness center, and exclusive La Vallée Switzerland treatments. The signature welcome drink blends the flavor of Uzbek pomegranate with the freshness of thyme.

Business Spaces

For business events, JW Marriott Tashkent offers an Executive Lounge along with conference and banquet halls totaling more than 1,200 sq. m of event space.

General Manager Ilkin Imanov emphasized that the team aims to establish a new benchmark of hospitality in Tashkent and develop local talent in cooperation with leading international professionals.
