Uzbekistan mines 1.63m tones of coal in Jan-Jun
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan mined about 1.633 million tonnes of coal in January-June of 2010, which is up 6.4% year-on-year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of mined brown coal decreased by 5.9% to 1.608 million tonnes. The mining of coal fell by 29% to 25,000 tonnes.
Uzbekugol open joint stock company mines about 98% of coal in Uzbekistan.
