Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan may impose restrictions on air traffic if citizens do not comply with restrictive rules. This was announced by the head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare Service, Bakhodir Yusupaliev.
In an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, he noted that the first case of the "British strain" of coronavirus had been detected.
He stressed that the pandemic is not over yet, the fight against coronavirus infection continues. New infections and strains appear.
Bakhodir Yusupaliev urged the population of Uzbekistan to comply with restrictive measures - to wear masks, maintain social distance, etc.
He appealed to the citizens with a request not to travel to foreign countries where new strains of coronavirus infection have been registered.
If the population does not comply with the restrictions that have been introduced in the country, a special commission may decide to restrict air travel.
