Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 October 2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur took part in the 10th International Exhibition “Green Technologies and Ecological Products of Malaysia” (International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition Malaysia - IGEM) organized by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, the Environment and Climate Change.
The exhibition is held annually and has also been recognized as a platform for the formation and promotion of know-how in the field of alternative energy in Southeast Asia.
More than 350 companies involved in the production of alternative energy sources, environmentally friendly products and building materials, resource-saving innovations, as well as relevant research centers from the countries of the region, Europe and America took part in IGEM-2019.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a series of negotiations with companies was held to discuss issues of further development of trade, economic and investment cooperation with Uzbekistan, during which agreements were reached:
- with the Malaysian company “Pendinginan Megajana” on the possibility of establishing cooperation with Uzbek partners in introducing green technology systems in the republic for centralized cooling and heating of certain areas, including by attracting direct Malaysian investments;
- with the Japanese company “Solar Frontier K.K.” - on considering the possibility of establishing cooperation in the implementation of environmentally friendly thin-film solar panels of the CIS technology in Uzbekistan.
