The purpose of the meeting was study experience of the Republic of Lithuania in the notary sphere and discuss issues of improving this direction in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek side acquainted the guests with the main activities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the main activities of the notary bodies in Uzbekistan and the current reforms implemented in this area.

In turn, Marius Stračkaitis thanked for organizing this meeting and, being a member of the International Union of Notaries, expressed his hope for Uzbekistan’s joining the International Union of Notaries in the near future.

Mr Stračkaitis emphasized that having familiarized himself with the activity of the notary bodies in the field within the framework of this visit, he highly appreciates the stage-by-stage reform of the notarial sphere, in particular in the field of information and communication technologies.

Stračkaitis expressed readiness to assist in improving the notary system in Uzbekistan and to receive the Uzbek delegation in the Republic of Lithuania to familiarize with the country’s experience in this field.
