Uzbekistan Limits General Product Codes for Construction Materials

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan announced a phased restriction on the use of general product and service identification codes (ICPU) for construction materials when issuing electronic invoices.

This initiative is being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services. Specialists from both agencies analyzed the general ICPU codes for construction materials listed in the Unified Electronic National Product Catalog and on the “National Classifier of Construction Materials” platform.

Following the first phase, 200 codes with generalized names were identified. Their use in electronic invoices will be restricted starting from 1 July 2026.

The Tax Committee recommends that businesses replace general codes with detailed ICPU codes in accordance with the published list. The inventory process is ongoing, and by 2 April 2026, the list will expand with over 200 additional codes.

Entrepreneurs who need to clarify a specific ICPU for their products or create a new code can submit electronic requests via their personal account on the mkinfo.uz platform using a digital signature. A working group at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services is also available to assist with the transition to detailed codes.
