Uzbekistan Launches First National EV Charging Network in Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has embarked on a landmark initiative to develop the first national electric vehicle (EV) charging network in Central Asia, a key milestone in the country’s transition to sustainable transport and clean technologies.

The project is spearheaded by Pulseev, a Tashkent-based startup specializing in the design of charging devices and software tailored to the region’s unique climate and technical conditions. The company aims to install 500 EV charging stations across Uzbekistan by 2026, with a total capacity of 100 MW, and expand to 3,000 stations by 2030.

The infrastructure will span urban areas, highways, and rural zones, including solar-powered micro-hubs, laying the foundation for a nationwide ecosystem that supports the long-term growth of electromobility. Pulseev also plans to expand into other Central Asian markets, as well as the Middle East and North Africa.

Unlike many imported solutions, Pulseev’s chargers are developed and manufactured in Uzbekistan, ensuring high compatibility with local conditions. They are equipped with fast-charging capabilities, remote monitoring systems, and mobile app integration to ensure convenience, efficiency, and reliability.

Construction is already underway on Pulseev’s flagship charging hub, which will feature over 50 solar-shaded charging points, a children’s playground, modular cafés made from shipping containers, and co-working areas.

“We’re not just building chargers. We’re creating an ecosystem for clean mobility — where drivers recharge, families relax, and children play safely,” says Jasurbek Khojaev, one of Pulseev’s co-founders.

“Our systems are built from the ground up, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency — all backed by deep scientific research and field-tested data.”

“It’s not just about power for vehicles — it’s about power for people. This infrastructure symbolizes dignity, independence, and the spirit of innovation,” adds Muhammad Khalil, founder of Startup Garage.

The Pulseev initiative aligns with Uzbekistan’s broader national strategy to boost energy efficiency, reduce reliance on natural gas, and accelerate the adoption of green technologies.

Founded in 2025, Pulseev is positioning itself as a regional pioneer in smart, solar-ready, and community-centered charging solutions. Its stations support remote diagnostics, and users will be able to locate, book, and pay for charging sessions via a dedicated mobile app.

This move marks a new era for Uzbekistan’s transport infrastructure, placing it at the forefront of the region’s sustainable mobility revolution.
