Uzbekistan keeps minimum rental rates for vehicles

The minimum rates were established by the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators and parameters of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018”.

The minimum rates were set in order to prevent underreporting of the tax base when renting vehicles.

When leasing out this property, the personal income tax is levied on the amount of rent payable under the agreement, but not lower than calculated based on the established minimum rates.

Rates are set for each unit of vehicles, depending on its type. Calculated for a month for cars, the minimum rental rate is 330,000 soums, for other vehicles (minibuses, buses, trucks) – 645,000 soums.
