Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 9 February 2022, a parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nuriddinjon Ismoilov met with Chairman of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov.
At the beginning of the conversation, the chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan sincerely greeted the guest and wished him success in his activities to further develop cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
At the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are close neighbors, time-tested partners. Cooperation between our countries is developing on the basis of high trust and mutual respect. The intensification of relations at different levels means that our countries are interested in expanding multifaceted relations.
Regular mutual visits, warm meetings and dialogues between the Presidents of our two countries have given a new impetus to the time-tested friendly relations between our peoples.
In a conversation about the further strengthening and development of strategic partnership, the Speaker of the Majilis noted that over 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations between the countries, a solid foundation has been laid for the stable development of cooperation in all areas.
In turn, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis N. Ismailov expressed gratitude for the high appreciation of his contribution to the development and strengthening of the Uzbek-Kazakh allied relations and integration ties.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N. Ismailov and the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Koshanov signed an Agreement on the establishment of an Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Council.
At the meeting, held in the spirit of constructive and mutual trust, issues of expanding and enriching parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with new content, exchange of experience in the field of rule-making were discussed.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached on strengthening the role of parliaments in the comprehensive strengthening of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
