Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rector of AKFA University Bekhzod Djalilov took part in a video conference with representatives of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
The videoconference was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea and the Uzeltehsanoat Association.
During the meeting, the Korean side got acquainted with the activities of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, favorable conditions created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, including in the electrical industry.
Chairman of the Board of the Uzeltehsanoat Association Mirziyod Yunusov proposed to KAIST to implement a project to create a scientific and educational institute on the principles of public-private partnership. It was noted that there is a need for highly qualified specialists in the enterprises of the Uzeltehsanoat Association.
During the meeting, the Rector of the University, Bekhzod Djalilov, made a presentation on the activities of AKFA University, which today offers training in the areas of medicine and finance.
Bekhzod Djalilov said that AKFA University will be glad to cooperate with KAIST in opening new schools in the areas of hardware engineering and software engineering.
In turn, Wonjoon Kim, Director of the KAIST Center for Overseas Development, shared with the Uzbek side information on the activities of one of the leading universities in South Korea. He also noted that KAIST cooperates with foreign countries to exchange experience and transfer knowledge.
The parties discussed further steps to establish cooperation on the issue of launching a new educational institution in Uzbekistan.
