Uzbekistan joins CIS agreement on perpetuation of the memory of WWII participants
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan joined the agreement on perpetuating the memory of the courage and heroism of the peoples of the CIS member states in the Great Patriotic War.
On 28 June 2017, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a corresponding resolution.
It should be noted that this document was signed on 3 September 2011.
The purpose of the agreement is to ensure the safety of military graves in the territory of the CIS countries.
The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan was defined as the the authorized body responsible for the implementation of this agreement.
