Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The resolution of the President of Uzbekistan "On joining the international treaty" was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, Uzbekistan acceded to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access for the Blind and Persons with Visual Impairments or Other Disabilities to Perceive Printed Information (on 27 June 2013, Marrakesh).

The Agency for Information and Mass Communications has been appointed as the authorized body responsible for the implementation of this international treaty.

The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and departments ensure the fulfillment of the obligations of Uzbekistan after the entry into force of this international treaty.
