Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In response to escalating regional instability, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a directive urging citizens abroad to preemptively record and maintain contact with the country’s diplomatic and consular missions.
Ministry officials emphasized that immediate communication with diplomats remains the primary safeguard for the rights and legal interests of Uzbek nationals during large-scale emergencies or personal crises.
For general consular assistance, document loss, or urgent inquiries, citizens may contact the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at +998 97 136 51 51 or via the short-code call center at 1164.
The Ministry has designated specific points of contact for several high-priority locations across the region. Citizens in the Islamic Republic of Iran should contact the Embassy in Tehran, where the designated emergency officer is Elbek Yuldashev at +98 912 132 78 23.
