Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 February 2021, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) Baghdad Amreyev.
The parties exchanged views on key areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the CCTS, while emphasizing the dynamism and significant potential for further expansion of multifaceted interaction.
Mutual readiness to intensify cooperation in a number of priority areas was indicated: investment, trade, transport and logistics, tourism, development of small and medium-sized businesses, innovation. Special attention was paid to the prospects for the creation of trade, investment and financial institutions within the CCTS.
They also emphasized the broad opportunities for partnership in the transport and logistics sphere, bearing in mind the implementation of joint projects aimed at building up the transit potential of the Council member countries.
Following the meeting, the parties outlined further steps to implement the agreements reached and the initiatives being promoted, and also expressed their readiness to strengthen the multifaceted cooperation of Uzbekistan with the CCTS.
