Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A high-level online discussion dedicated to the celebration of the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) will be held on 28-29 September.
It will be attended by Director General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the National Commission for UNESCO Aziz Abdukhakimov and others.
The event is held with the participation of the senior management of such leading organizations and structures as the World Health Organization, the International Council on Archives, UNDP, the Twitter social network, the Open Government Partnership initiative, the NGO Transparency International, and others.
It is important to note that Uzbekistan is the only country invited to such an authoritative forum. This is done in recognition of the changes that have occurred in our republic thanks to the policy pursued by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to ensure openness and freedom of expression. The theme of the event: “Access to Information - Saving Lives, Building Trust, Inspiring Hope”.
