Uzbekistan Introduces Visa-Free Entry for Six Countries and Extends Stay for Chinese Citizens

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has officially introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of six new countries and extended the visa-free stay period for Chinese nationals. The corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers was adopted on 21 October.

Under the new regulation, citizens of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan can now enter Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days.

For citizens of China, the visa-free stay period has also been extended to 30 days, except for residents of Hong Kong, who will continue to have a 7-day stay limit.

In addition, the government has introduced a simplified procedure for issuing business visas to citizens of 15 countries.

For nationals of Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Japan, business visas will now be processed within two working days.

For the United Arab Emirates, visa issuance will take up to three working days, while for Iran and Pakistan, the process will take up to three working days, with the possibility of an extension to ten days if additional verification is required.

Business visas for citizens of Iran and Pakistan will be issued under bilateral agreements on simplified visa procedures for business, academic, and tourist groups.
