Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has introduced a new procedure for obtaining a license sheet for passenger transportation with the use of the vehicle, the press service of the Ministry of Justice reported.

From 1 September until the end of 2024, individuals are allowed to provide passenger transportation services as self-employed in cars.

This activity is included in the list of self-employed jobs.

First of all, the driver must register through the Unified Interactive Portal of Public Services (my.gov.uz) as a self-employed person remotely or with a visit to the territorial department of the State Tax Inspectorate. Registration and certification are free.

Then the driver needs to pay a state fee in the amount of 300,000 soums for 1 year to obtain a license sheet for passenger transportation by car through my.gov.uz or at the center of public services. When applying through my.gov.uz, a 10 percent discount is applied, that is, you will need to pay only 270,000 soums.

A driver registered as a self-employed person and wishing to have official work experience can voluntarily pay social tax in the amount of 300,000 soums for 1 year.
