Uzbekistan Introduces Emergency Support Mechanism for Exporters Amid Middle East Crisis
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In response to the escalating situation in the Middle East, Uzbek authorities have introduced an emergency support mechanism for national exporters.
According to the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the complex geopolitical situation in the region is already directly affecting transit routes and foreign trade operations that pass through Middle Eastern corridors.
The ministry reported that enterprises are facing logistical disruptions, delays along transport corridors, difficulties with customs clearance, and complications in executing international payments and settlements. These factors create additional risks for exporters and could negatively impact the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
To respond promptly and mitigate business risks, the ministry has implemented a special emergency support mechanism for companies engaged in foreign trade. This allows entrepreneurs to directly and quickly contact authorized agencies to resolve emerging issues.
In particular, exporters can submit requests via the dedicated Telegram bot @miit_tashqisavdo_bot or contact the round-the-clock call center at the Republican Export Headquarters, which operates 24/7 at +998 (71) 238-52-52.
The ministry emphasized that these measures are aimed at ensuring the stability of foreign trade, supporting national producers, and maintaining the country’s export potential amid an unstable international environment.
