Uzbekistan introduces a system of penalty points for traffic violations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to ensure unconditional compliance with traffic rules and prevent cases of their repeated violation, from 1 December 2022, a system for accruing penalty points to drivers for violations of traffic rules is being introduced, which provides for the following procedure:

- accrual of separate penalty points for each violation of traffic rules within 12 months;

- deprivation of the driver of the right to drive a vehicle for a certain period in accordance with the established procedure in case of exceeding the established number of penalty points;

- application to drivers who have not violated the rules of the road for a certain period of incentive measures by reducing penalty points during subsequent accrual.
