Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is introducing a new procedure for transferring students to study at a state university. The new procedure is being introduced in accordance with the Presidential resolution "On the organization of the process of admission to state higher educational institutions."

According to the document, when transferring from higher educational institutions of foreign countries (including those occupying one of the first 1,000 places in internationally recognized rankings) to the relevant and related educational areas of state universities:

professional (creative) exams are held in educational areas, where a special talent is required from the student, testing in other educational areas;

passing scores for exams annually until 15 July are set by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, as well as ministries and departments, to which the universities belong, and are published on the official website of the STC;

students who scored below the passing score are admitted to a differentiated paid-contract basis of education;

the results of tests and professional (creative) exams are published on the official websites of the STC and the corresponding university.

It is not allowed to transfer from higher educational institutions of foreign countries to inappropriate and heterogeneous educational areas of state higher educational institutions.

The transfer of students from one state university to another is allowed only in the following cases:

if a student applies for the transfer of education to a university at the place of permanent residence of the spouse in connection with the creation of a family;

when an employee of state bodies applies for the transfer of education to a university in the event of a change in the place of work of his spouse or place of study of a minor child on the basis of the recommendation of the head of the relevant ministry (department);

the transfer of students from foreign and non-state higher educational institutions of the republic to inappropriate and heterogeneous educational areas of a state university is carried out on the basis of a one-time payment equal to the minimum size of a differentiated payment-contract established for the corresponding direction of undergraduate education;

students who entered the university on the basis of a state grant as winners of sports competitions and are studying full-time, can transfer their studies to the corresponding and related areas of study in part-time education (if there is a correspondence form of education) on the basis of a state grant.
