Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A government resolution “On the introduction of a national test system for assessing the level of knowledge in general education subjects” was adopted.

According to the resolution:

- from 1 December 2020, a national test system for assessing the level of knowledge of general education subjects in a complex of subjects corresponding to the areas of bachelor's degree is being gradually introduced;

- starting from admission in the 2021/2022 academic year, the procedure for issuing differentiated (proportional) points to an applicant who has a state-recognized certificate of the level of knowledge in the relevant general education subject (except for a foreign language) is introduced in relation to the maximum score established by this subject in tests admission to undergraduate HEU.

Certification in general education subjects is carried out in the following terms:

- from 1 December 2020 in the native language and literature (Uzbek language and literature, Russian language and literature, Karakalpak language and literature), as well as in mathematics;

- from 1 February 2021 in chemistry and biology;

- in 2022-2024 in physics, geography and history.

Test questions for issuance are drawn up by the Ministry of Public Education and the Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education.

The Resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for determining the level of knowledge in general education subjects and issuing certificates.

Accordingly, the issuance of the certificate is carried out by the State Testing Center on a paid basis.

To issue the certificate, the applicant is charged a fee of 1.5 times the base calculated value (334,500 soums) on the day of application.

The certificate is issued for a period of 3 years to persons who have scored at least 60 percent of the highest score based on testing results.

An applicant who has achieved a positive test result is issued a certificate in electronic form based on the order of the director of the State Testing Center within a week from the date of publication of the test results. The applicant can download the certificate through his personal account.
