Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-March 2022, Uzbekistan imported 455 electric vehicles for a total of US$13.5 million, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reported.

According to the agency, the import of electric vehicles increased by 5.4 times compared to the same period of last year, or by 370 vehicles.

Electric vehicles were imported from nine countries. Uzbekistan imported 426 electric vehicles from China, 13 from Germany, 7 from Hong Kong, 3 from the UAE, 2 from Estonia, and 1 each from the US and Canada.
