Uzbekistan Imports 3,300 Tons of Seafood from Vietnam
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to October 2025, Uzbekistan imported 3,300 tons of fish and seafood from Vietnam, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Overall, during this period, the country imported about 12,200 tons of seafood from 31 countries, totaling approximately US$28.9 million.
Compared with the same period in 2024, the import volume rose by 2,300 tons, or 23.3%.
Russia remained Uzbekistan’s largest seafood supplier in the first ten months of 2025, exporting 5,800 tons. Vietnam ranked second (3,300 tons), followed by Norway (1,000 tons). Lithuania (705.6 tons) and Kazakhstan (657.1 tons) completed the top five.
Other notable suppliers included the United Kingdom (140 tons) and the Faroe Islands (138.3 tons), with a combined 379.2 tons from various other countries.
