Uzbekistan imports 22,500 electric vehicles in Jan-Oct

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-October 2023, 22,490 electric vehicles were imported into Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.

This figure has increased more than 6 times compared to the same period last year. The total cost of imported passenger electric vehicles was US$582.3 million.

Between August and October, Uzbekistan imported 15,100 electric vehicles worth US$365.3 million.

China remains the main supplier of electric vehicles. Since the beginning of the year, 20,640 electric vehicles from China have been imported into Uzbekistan, accounting for 91.7% of the total. At the same time, 13,740 cars were imported in the last three months alone.

Hong Kong comes in second place with 1,258 vehicles (5.6%). It is followed by the UAE (147 vehicles), South Korea (136), USA (134) and Germany (125).
