Uzbekistan imports 20,800 cars in Jan-Aug

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-August 2022, Uzbekistan imported 20,800 cars from abroad in the amount of US$511.6 million, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The import of cars in the current year compared to the corresponding period in 2021 increased by 5.8 thousand units (138.6%).

Countries from which Uzbekistan imported the largest number of cars in January-August this year:

China – 8,300 units

Republic of Korea – 6,800 units.

Kazakhstan – 3,700 units.

Russia – 1,400 units.

Other countries - 605 units.
