Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–July 2025, Uzbekistan imported 6,500 tons of rice, totaling US$2.9 million, according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee.

The main supplier of rice to the country during the seven-month period was Kazakhstan, providing 4,300 tons. India ranked second with 1,100 tons, followed by Kyrgyzstan with 582 tons, Pakistan with 186 tons, and China with 66 tons. Other countries accounted for 289 tons of imports.

Thus, Kazakhstan supplied more than two-thirds of Uzbekistan’s rice imports in the current year.
