Uzbekistan Hosts OECD Global Forum Assessment Mission on Tax Transparency
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is hosting an assessment mission of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes.
The visit, taking place from 27 to 30 January 2026, is part of the country’s peer review process, which evaluates compliance with international standards for transparency and the effective exchange of tax information.
The delegation is led by the Head of Mission, Amrita Singh Ahuja. During the visit, a series of working meetings is scheduled at the Tax Committee, involving representatives of relevant structural units as well as other interested ministries and agencies.
The assessment focuses on the availability and accessibility of tax information, the functioning of international data exchange mechanisms, the legal framework in this area, and the practical implementation of established procedures.
The mission is considered an important step in developing Uzbekistan’s international tax cooperation and underscores the country’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and adherence to global standards.
