Uzbekistan Hosts IT Invest Day Forum to Attract Tech Investments

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan held the IT Invest Day business forum at its embassy in London, jointly organized with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation with the United Kingdom and attracting high-tech investments, reports IA “Dunyo.”

The event served as a platform to present Uzbekistan’s investment opportunities in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and data centers to British investors and technology companies.

Representatives from leading international organizations, including the London Stock Exchange Group, Savvy, Meridian Universal, SteelRose, EY-Parthenon, AVDO, Hudson Sandler, Lewis Silkin LLP, and Donut Soft, attended the forum, highlighting its practical value for expanding investment and technological cooperation.

The forum showcased ongoing IT reforms in Uzbekistan, institutional and legal support mechanisms, tax incentives, and IT workforce development programs. Emphasis was placed on preparing young specialists for international IT markets and leveraging the benefits of IT Park Uzbekistan residency.

Participants discussed strategic plans to transform Uzbekistan into a regional hub for artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, including the development of AI ecosystems, public-private partnerships, digital economy initiatives, data centers, and energy infrastructure.

During Q&A sessions, foreign companies and financial institutions exchanged views on concrete projects in digital infrastructure, data centers, and tech startups. Bilateral meetings focused on specific investment projects and partnerships with infrastructure funds, data center operators, and technology companies.

Mariyam Koyava, managing partner of Savvy, told IA “Dunyo” that the forum demonstrated tangible investment opportunities in Uzbekistan and confirmed the country’s readiness to further develop its digital economy.

IT Invest Day became a key platform for promoting Uzbekistan’s high-tech investment potential and strengthening bilateral ties with the UK business community.
