Uzbekistan hosts first Kangaroo math contest
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Over 1,000 children of various ages participate in the international math contest Kangaroo, which was held in Uzbekistan for the first time on 17 March.
It was organized by Olympia, which is an official representative of AKSF in Uzbekistan. The contest is conducted each year in over 80 countries of the world.
The contest is directed at improving interest of young people to the mathematics. The contest is open for students from 2 to 10th grade of general schools.
Over 1000 children registered to the contest in Uzbekistan. The exams took place in Tashkent. All participants received certificates and special gifts.
