Global Peace Index was developed by sociologists and economists of international experts from Australia and the United States. The index takes into account several tens of main figures such as participation in military conflicts, number of military troops, number of murders, etc. The grade from one to 5 is given to each figure.
According to the index, Uzbekistan holds the 109th place with index of 2.216. Uzbekistan was on 113th place with the index 2.178 in previous Index.
Iceland topped the ranking. Denmark, Austria, New Zealand, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, Australia and the Czech Republic were among top ten.
Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Southern Sudan, Somali, Sudan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo and Pakistan had the lowest index.
