Uzbekistan holds 101st place in Global Peace Index 2017
Global Peace Index was developed by sociologists and economists of international experts from Australia and the United States. The index takes into account several tens of main figures such as participation in military conflicts, number of military troops, number of murders, etc. The grade from one to 5 is given to each figure.
According to the index, Uzbekistan holds the 101st place with index of 2.132. Uzbekistan was on 109th place with the index 2.216 in previous Index.
Iceland topped the ranking. Denmark, Austria, New Zealand, Portugal, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and Slovenia were among top ten.
Syria, Southern Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somali, Yemen, Ukraine, Sudan and Libya had the lowest index.
