Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection and the General Customs Directorate of the PRC signed a protocol on phytosanitary requirements and control over the export of lemons from Uzbekistan to China, the agency's press service said.
There are subsidies for growing lemons in Uzbekistan, namely:
- part of the costs for the creation of lemon plantations and the purchase of lemon seedlings at the expense of the Fund for Development and Horticulture and Greenhouse Economy. It will be possible to receive no more than 30 million soums for each hectare;
- up to 25% of transportation costs on rail and air transport associated with the export of lemon at the expense of the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.
